HEADLINES

• In the final game of the season Brimsham survived a shaky start away to a strong Oldland side and came away with a credible point, with a Tom Andrews penalty, to finish 4 points above the drop zone.
• In an eventful game Brimsham secured the point they needed to avoid the drop with a 3-3 draw away to Greyfriars Ath, but the game ended on a sour note with Brimsham's Jamie Martin shown a red card for violent conduct.
• On a heavily saturated pitch which soon turned into a quagmire Brimsham after dominating the early stages went down 0-4 to local rivals Old Sodbury, after having Rob Salmon sent off for two yellow cards in the 1st half.
• Heavy rain could hamper Brimsham's bid for survival as the away fixture at 'Greyfriars' is called off due to a waterlogged pitch, and the final two fixtures could also be affected. Watch this space !!
• After the weekend results Brimsham only need 1 point from their remaining 3 fixtures to avoid relegation.
• Brimsham gained 3 valuable points with an emphatic 5-1 defeat of fellow relegation strugglers 'Oldland Abb; Res' in what was their most impressive performance of the season, with Tom Andrews bagging a hat-trick.
• Brimsham gain a valuable point in a 0-0 away draw in the local derby with high flying Old Sodbury
• Brimsham v Seymour part 2 ended in a goal less draw in another tight affair
• After taking a 1st half lead through Steve Ball making his debut, Brimsham allowed Seymour back in the game and to grab a point with a late equaliser, while the res took a real hiding losing 10-0 away to league leaders Bishopsworth
• Brimsham came close to snatching a point when Matt Cole fired wide with only the keeper to beat in their 1-2 away defeat to Bristol Manor Farm Res, while the Res go down 0-2 at home to Warmley Res
• Brimsham bounce back from being 1-3 down at half time to earn a vital point with a 3-3 draw away to Henbury.
• The funeral of former manager Keith Davis took place at 'Westerliegh Crematorium' on Friday 30th Dec at 12.30. Such was the man that there was standing room only.
• Brimsham Green FC is very saddened at the news of the sudden death of former manager Keith Davis after a short illness. R.I.P. my friend.
